FOGO toolkit

Visual elements have been designed to help residents understand how to separate waste correctly, including:

  • The hand gesture symbols, made up of icons of various types of waste.
  • The graphic representations of typical household waste bins.

The elements are flexible and can be modified to complement each local government’s kerbside collection requirements.

Provide feedback on how well residents are sorting waste and advise on how to improve further - These graphics are used by local governments and regional councils to communicate with their residents about how well they are separating their waste into the correct bins. These graphics can be used during and post-implementation of the new kerbside services to provide feedback on reduced contamination levels in their waste bins.
